Gross and fascinating: Mütter Museum film premiering in September
Identical twins the Quay Brothers are soon releasing a film about Philadelphia’s Mütter Museum, a most impressive collection of medical anomalies and one of my favorite places on the planet.
The film will premiere in September 2011:
• September 22: The College of Physicians of Philadelphia
• September 24: The Museum of Modern Art, New York
• September 27: Cary Grant Theater, SONY Pictures Studios, hosted by The Museum of Jurassic Technology, Los AngelesAfter the premiere screenings, you’ll be able to purchase the DVD for yourself. Plus, the museum will host an exhibit about the making of the film. Barbara London, Associate Curator, Department of Media and Performance Art at MOMA, will be guest curator.
